Tuition, Fees & Policies

Outside Classes

We will meet outside whenever possible.  In the case of inclement weather or another shut down we will meet on Zoom.  No refunds will be given after the start of classes, and credit may be granted on a case by case basis.  No credit will be issued for outside classes that move to Zoom.  Makeups for outside classes may only be done on Zoom, in order to limit the number of contacts between in-person groups.

We will move outside classes to Zoom if the temperature is below 35 degrees, if it is actively precipitating, if the AQI is over 115, or if the city mandates it.  We reserve the right to change these guidelines as necessary. 

Zoom Classes

Registration in a Zoom class includes access to all Zoom classes each week. 


Moxie Moms members receive $20 off the first child's tuition for an Outside class (excluding registration and materials fees). Membership number & expiration date must be provided in order to receive the coupon code. The Moxie Moms discount is not available for sessions with fewer than 8 meetings or online classes.


Financial assistance is available to qualifying families through the Music for Kids Scholarship Fund. Please email for more information.

Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your registration prior to the first class and receive a refund minus the registration fee ($12 returning families, $20 new families).  Registrations cancelled after classes have begun may be subject to a $25 cancellation fee and refunds may not be given. The 3 week interim sessions have a non-refundable registration fee of $10.


There is no limit on how many classes you may make up. Please schedule your makeups as close to your absence as possible. If you know you will be missing a class, you may make it up before your absence. Makeups are per family. Please note the sibling's name in the comment section--do not schedule a separate makeup for siblings. All makeups for the Fall 2020 session will be done on Zoom.

Illness (for in-person classes)
Please keep sick kids and grownups at home where they can get better.  If your child has a runny nose, cough, or fever, please stay home. If you bring a child to class who has "just gotten over" an illness please be conscientious & wash your & your child's hands before class & wipe all instruments that get wet with the alcohol wipes provided in each classroom. We follow a 24 hour fever-free and vomit-free policy. If you are unable to attend a class due to illness please click here to log on and schedule a makeup.

Drop-ins (for in-person classes)

Unregistered siblings 5 years & under may attend class as a drop-in if space is available. The drop-in fee is $17/class. Siblings 6 years & older may drop-in free of charge. Siblings under 8 months attend free.

Snow Days (for in-person classes)

We follow BVSD for snow cancellations. Any class cancelled due to weather will be held at the normal time on Zoom.

Payment Options

When you register for your class, you will have the opportunity to pay online. You can also access online payment via the Family Portal under "Make a Payment."
